It would appear Alcopop! Records have struck gold again. Let it never be said that the label doesn’t have a diverse roster, but it seems things have gotten even more interesting. They’ve just picked up Katie Malco (and made me want to suggest that the label be renamed Malcopop! Records…
SO. You want the headlines right? The news? Yeah you do.
ALCOPOP RELEASE: I will be putting out my new E.P on Alcopop records at the start of October 2011. There will be a launch in London and a full band tour. Full band includes Chris Rouse from the excellent rock band Hold Your Horse Is amongst other famous people.
We will come to your town. You can even help us book it if you know a good venue near you?!
TOUR: Before this release, I will be doing a solo tour with Matt Emery from the excellent and famous band Stagecoach (they were played on Eastenders the other day! My favourite program.) and Warren Malia from the other excellent catchy fist pumping band, The Attika State.
Dates so far:
August 6th - Brixton Windmill, London
14th - Hideaway, Archway, London
18th - Hare on The Hill, Bristol
19th - Dorking
20th - Cricketers, Kingston
21st - Capel Festival
25th - Labour Club, Northampton
26th - TBC (Get in touch if you want a garden party/any party!)
27th - TBC (Get in touch if you want a garden party/any party!)
28th - TBC (Get in touch if you want a garden party/any party!)
If you want to talk to me/us about bookings and such, email at katiemalco@hotmail.co.uk
AND you would think that would be all. BUT IT ISN’T.
Matt, Warren and I are currently in the process of putting together a split single, which will be available to purchase on any of the above tour dates, and probs online too I imagine. It will be very limited I think, but also it will be CRACKING.
Last night I played at the Stagecoach/Alcopop NBA Jam Tournament, and I BLOODY WON THE GAME I PLAYED and I never win anything especially not at computer games. But then I lost my second game by a few points. But still, I got through to the second round! I was well happy. No-one else shared my joy.
This is the news. Happy now?
